Looking for a new protein pancakes recipe?

There are no rules against having chocolate for breakfast, especially when it comes in the form of banana chocolate chip pancakes with a scoop of plant protein powder.

We’ve got a recipe for rich, chocolatey, banana protein pancakes that will certainly appease your sweet tooth while also giving you the nutrition you need to kickstart your brain and start your day off right. (Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.)

Pancake batter is a great vehicle for other mix-ins, too. So, this recipe has a little something extra to nourish your skin!

We recommend you whip these up when you have the time to make at least a double batch. That way you can stash some in the freezer for a quick breakfast on another day or even a snack when you need it.

Protein powder pancakes: Banana chocolate chip

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Bring a greased, flat-bottomed pan or griddle to medium heat.
  3. When heated, drop batter onto the pan in your desired pancake size. When the pancakes begin forming bubbles on top, flip.
  4. Cook the other side until it’s golden brown then serve them up!
  5. Top with sliced bananas, mixed berries, cacao nibs or nuts.

PRO TIP: This recipe is super easy, but if you think making protein powder pancakes from scratch stretches your culinary skills, you can always add protein powder or other mix-ins to your favorite boxed pancake mix to pump up the nutrient levels.
