Amway’s philosophy

Amway’s vision is to help people live better lives. One of the ways it does that is by offering people the opportunity to own their own business selling any of Amway’s high quality health and wellbeing products that are made with quality ingredients.

Every one of the more than 350 Amway products strives to be good for you, good for the world in terms of sustainability, and transparent about how and where it’s made so you know you’re getting a safe, effective, and all-around responsible option.

Traceability: Knowing each ingredient’s full story

Amway brands are built on the belief that consumers have the right to know more about how and where products are made so they can make informed choices – that’s Amway traceability.

At Amway, that means consumers can get an inside look at each step that was taken to select Artistry or Nutrilite ingredients and the tests that were conducted throughout the product’s creation to ensure it is pure, safe, effective and better for the planet.

Nutrilite traceability

Nutrilite stands out from brands that say they’re traceable but offer no proof because Nutrilite traces and shares all the critical product creation details. From the science that went into choosing the botanical seeds to the product delivered to your hands, every step of the journey for Nutrilite vitamins and supplements is transparent.

Artistry Clean Beauty standards

Artistry Clean Beauty standards mean every ingredient has a purpose. The botanical ingredients that are included have traceable proof that they’re pure, safe and effective from seed to skin and that they do what they say they will do.

Artistry skin care products can have more than 400 traceable tests and checks performed, from the raw ingredient to the finished product, to verify each batch meets the rigorous standards for the quality of Amway’s products. Many ingredients in Artistry Skin Nutrition products are fully traceable from seed to skin.

This means there is a transparent trail from the final product all the way to the back specific crop of the original raw material that identifies every step of the process from harvesting to processing to manufacturing to packaging.

Traceable ingredients

Let’s take a closer look at three of our botanical ingredients that can be traced back to the process of selecting the specific seed variety and the individual farm plot where it was grown.

White chia seed

Non-GMO* white chia seed is used in several Nutrilite and Artistry products. In fact, the special variety of white chia seed was developed by researchers at the certified organic Amway farm in Mexico – Rancho El Petacal. It’s grown there along with a NutriCert™ certified and organic certified partner farm in Bolivia. With tons of fiber and protein packed into each small but mighty seed, chia is one of the most nutrient-dense foods and a powerful aid in supporting heart, brain, bone health as well as support for skin care.

Acerola cherry

Non-GMO* acerola cherries are grown at the certified organic Amway farm in Brazil – Fazenda Amway Nutrilite do Brazil – along with NutriCert certified partner farms. The acerola cherry is one of nature’s most concentrated sources of vitamin C. Nutrilite harvests the cherries at their most potent, unripe stage when they contain 50 times more vitamin C than an orange. Harvested cherries are washed and rushed to processing to capture peak nutrient content.

Spinach

Spinach is found in several Nutrilite and Artistry products. The non-GMO spinach seeds are carefully examined and selected before being planted at Rancho El Petacal in Mexico. The spinach variety was chosen because it flourishes in a warm climate, producing large, emerald leaves abundant with nutrients and rich in beneficial phytonutrients.

Carefully chosen, high quality, traceable ingredients are the superpower behind Amway products. Amway’s traceability standards follow a multi-step process that starts with the science and research behind choosing the botanical and ends with the product in a consumer’s hand. Here are a few examples.

Artistry Skin Nutrition Vitamin C + HA3 Daily Serum

Vitamin C is a key ingredient in many skin care products and the vitamin C in Artistry Skin Nutrition Vitamin C + HA3 Daily Serum comes from acerola cherries. Acerola cherries were selected because they contain about 50 times as much vitamin C as an orange and have potent antioxidants. Phytonutrients in this tart little fruit fight free radicals that are known to lead to visible skin concerns.

Fazenda Amway Nutrilite do Brazil farm is one of the world’s largest certified organic acerola tree farms. Its climate is ideal for the fruit and the farm crews ensure they have high quality soil and compost as well as ideal optimal watering conditions. The fruit is harvested when it is green because research showed that’s when the nutrients are at their peak. They are immediately processed on the farm.

The extract used in the Artistry serum contains 10 times the vitamin C concentration of the raw fruit. Just as with growing, every detail of the harvesting and extraction process is documented so the final product is fully traceable.

Amway’s strict traceability standards require that two people verify the processing details before production can begin to safeguard against defects and contamination. And Artistry Skin Nutrition™ products are tested over and over from ingredient through the finished product to make sure each one meets Amway standards.

Traceability makes Artistry Skin Nutrition products different. Amway’s promise to reveal healthy beauty that’s uniquely you is backed by traceable proof that your product is formulated and made pure, safe and effective – and stays that way throughout its shelf life.

Nutrilite Kids Daily Chewable Multivitamins

Nutrient-rich spinach is one of the seven plant ingredients included in the formulation for the Nutrilite Kids Daily Chewable Multivitamin because it has key nutrients that active children need to help them grow and thrive.

Spinach loves the hot climate of Rancho El Petacal in Mexico. It grows quickly in the warmth and humidity of the Mexican winter, fed by the abundant nutrients in the soil and compost from the worm farm located onsite. Farm crews use a special cinnamon spray to deter pests from snacking on the crop.

The spinach is harvested by hand and within 24 hours undergoes thorough washing, drying and milling right on the farm. Once delivered to the manufacturing site, a batch of raw materials doesn’t go another inch until it’s checked to Amway’s rigorous standards.

Every batch must have its certificate of analysis that proves it meets Amway requirements. Then, the blend is tested and checked all along the way to becoming the final product, leaving a long trail of paperwork to ensure the purity, safety and effectiveness for your kids.

Ingredients you won’t find in our products

Choosing the purest, safest and most effective ingredients is an important part of the product formulation process, but so is ensuring that no harmful or unwanted ingredients are included.
