DIRECT SELLING

As its name states, direct selling is direct, person-to-person sales. This entrepreneurial business model empowers individuals to start a business with little startup costs and no experience required.

Direct selling makes business ownership accessible to anyone. As distributors, these independent business owners earn income by selling exclusive products in-person or online. Many increase their income potential by sponsoring and mentoring others to join their team and do the same.

Quite the opposite, actually. We offer free education and training to our Independent Business Owners (IBOs) through Amway™ Education, including more than 80 virtual courses and activities.

We believe you’re in business for yourself but never by yourself. That’s why, in addition to this robust online learning, IBOs often get personal one-on-one coaching from their sponsors and teams as they learn to set goals, deepen their product knowledge, expand their sales expertise and run successful, sustainable Amway™ businesses.

Some IBOs may offer additional motivational or training materials to their teams for a fee. These are always optional and backed by generous return policies, as required by Amway.
That’s what direct selling is all about – personal service and trusted, thoughtful product knowledge from an Independent Business Owner (IBO) who knows Amway best.

Who better to buy from than someone who knows, uses and loves the product? Our IBOs are experts, always at the ready to answer your questions, help you understand product benefits, show you how to use products and even assist you with product returns. Your satisfaction is their passion, before and after your buy.

That said, you don’t have to meet with an IBO to purchase Amway™ products. You can order and reorder products through your IBO’s website, too. We make it easy and efficient to access the products you love, wherever and whenever you need them.
Direct selling is a people business. The personal service and product expertise you receive from your Independent Business Owner (IBO) can never be matched by a traditional brick-and-mortar or online retailer.

It’s a face to face business and we believe our business owners do a great job of taking care of their customers because they have a vested interest in doing keeping them happy and developing a repeat customer base.

In a word, no. Our Independent Business Owners (IBOs) don’t need to carry product inventory and there are no purchase requirements with Amway – not ever, no exceptions.

Instead of stocking inventory before they begin selling, our IBOs rely on Amway to efficiently and affordably ship products direct to themselves and their customers. However, some IBOs may keep their own inventory for customer events or to demonstrate products and have them readily available for purchase. As entrepreneurs, it’s 100% their choice.
