Making a Difference

We believe that the Power of Positive includes the power of caring – something Amway has been doing for more than 50 years. We are constantly creating, improving and innovating to be as effective and efficient in the communities that need us as we are in the workplace. Click on our Corporate Citizenship Report to learn about what Amway has done – and is continuing to do – around the globe.

Our most visible initiative is the Amway One by One Campaign for Children, which has helped more than 7 million children since it was launched in 2003. In North America, the One by One campaign supports numerous causes, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America  and Easter Seals.

One by One

Amway has a vision of helping people live better lives, and this extends to supporting the children in communities where we do business. At the heart of the Amway global commitment of caring is the One by One Campaign for Children that helps disadvantaged children around the world live, achieve, learn, and – of course – play.

Since the program launched in 2003, we have provided hope and opportunity to more than 7 million children. We’ve contributed more than 1,300,000 employee and Distributor volunteer hours, and we’ve donated more than $112 million dollars with children’s causes worldwide. Environment

In 1959, Amway began marketing L.O.C.® (Liquid Organic Cleaner) Multi-Purpose Cleaner, establishing our environmental commitment with biodegradable cleaning agents. Its very name – Liquid Organic Cleaner – spoke to that commitment. This initial dedication to the environment became a cornerstone in the Amway corporate philosophy.

Five decades later, our commitment to sustainable environmental practices remains strong and extends to our manufacturing practices, recycling efforts, and organic farming techniques. Amway continues to innovate, utilizing renewable energy, improving source reduction, producing CFC-free aerosols, reducing VOCs, and using natural ingredients across our product lines.

Ethics

Amway is a global enterprise and our operations are subject to the laws of many different countries around the world. While local laws and customs may differ, our priority of maintaining the highest ethical standards is always the same. Our business ethics are universal and often stronger than merely complying with the law in a given jurisdiction. Honor is essential to our business success. We do what is right, not just whatever works. Amway success is measured not only in economic terms, but by the respect, trust, and credibility we earn. For more information on business ethics in our industry, contact the Direct Selling Association.

Disaster Relief

Amway supports local partners to help the victims of natural disasters. And in times of great need, our employees and Distributors get involved. Amway provided cash donations, products, and hygiene kits following the tsunami in Southeast Asia, Hurricane Katrina, and recently Hurricane Ike. Amway has provided substantial support to the earthquake in China’s Szechuan province. At Amway Headquarters in Ada, a team of trained first responders stand ready to assist our nonprofit partner, International Aid, with disaster relief logistical and operational support.

Valued Employees

Amway is a company that believes every person can make a difference. We live this philosophy every day. To make our beliefs a reality, we empower our employees to reach goals, fulfill ambitions, and contribute to the communities where we operate. People who work with Amway stay at Amway. Most of our employees have been here for more than 10 years, with many working here for decades. As a leading global health and beauty company Amway ensures employees have access to the resources they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
