NUTRILITE Farm at Lakeview, California
Lakeview, California Nutrilite's history began in southern California, where Carl Rehnborg
started farming alfalfa. His original farm was just outside Los Angeles,
soon moving to a 3-hectare (7 acre) site at Buena Park, which today is the
site of Nutrilite's primary manufacturing headquarters. When demand increased
and more land was needed for growing alfalfa, the farm moved to Lakeview,
California. In addition to alfalfa and carrots, Lakeview grows other crops
such as pomegranates, rosemary and kale.
At Lakeview, there is ongoing research related to farming practices
and test plots for research into new crop varieties and optimal growing
conditions.
