Amway began developing and marketing water treatment systems in 1984. Since then, thousands of hours of research have been spent studying the best purification technologies from around the world. Seven laboratories with their 48 scientists and technical staff have created truly innovative products, with 270 patents granted or pending.

And customers agree – since the first products went on sale in 1984, we have sold more than 3.5 million water treatment systems around the world.

Dedicated laboratories, with links to 75 universities around the world, develop the technologies that are brought to you by our 7,500 square meters (80,700 sq ft) of manufacturing facilities. In 1996, we invested in new technologies to create a breakthrough in home water treatment. As a result, we are now a global leader in UV applications for consumer drinking water products.
