Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities live better lives for nearly 90 years. And for 29 years, Amway, its employees, and its Independent Business Owners (IBOs) have been a powerful force in support of Easter Seals, raising more than $30 million in donations.

Easter Seals provides exceptional services that are individualized, innovative, family focused, and tailored to specific needs that enable the disabled to learn, play, and work in their communities. At their 550 nationwide sites, the organization helps more than 1 million children and adults each year through services that include:

• Child development centers
• Physical rehabilitation
• Education
• Advocacy
• Autism services
• Job training

To promote community engagement and raise funds for local Easter Seals services, Amway is a Regional Presenting Sponsor of “Walk With Me” events in California, Michigan, New York, and North Carolina. Every year, more than a thousand IBOs and employees participate in dozens of “Walk With Me” events around the country. In 2013, Amway will celebrate 30 years partnering with Easter Seals. 

The U.S. Dream Academy empowers kids who are the most at risk of incarceration to believe in themselves and succeed. This after-school program focuses on breaking the vicious cycle of incarceration by giving children of incarcerated parents the skills and vision necessary to lead productive and fulfilling lives.

Operating in 10 cities nationwide, the Dream Academy has already helped more than 6,500 young people create their own positive realities, despite challenging circumstances.

Amway is a proud partner of the U.S. Dream Academy and invests time and resources to help at-risk children believe they can overcome their circumstances through building skills and dreaming big dreams. This goal is met through a bold, three-pillar approach of:

• Dream building

The overall goal is to nurture the whole child while altering attitudes, enhancing self-esteem, supporting emotional and intellectual growth, and sparking dreams!
