Powder completes the foundation application process. It further refines the appearance of the skin, sets makeup, and helps it last throughout the day.
Light Coverage
For the lightest application, use a large powder brush.
STEP 1: Move the brush in light gentle strokes:
- Across the forehead.
- Down the top and sides of nose.
- Across the cheeks toward the ear.
- Around the lips.
- Onto the chin then blended away at the jaw line.
- Finish with a very light application to the eyelids.
STEP 2: Repeat until powder foundation is flawlessly blended into the face. Use a light hand; applying too much powder can create a mask-like appearance.
Medium Coverage
Medium coverage is best achieved using a powder puff.
STEP 1: When using a powder puff, roll the puff around your index finger and secure with your thumb and middle fingers. Apply a small amount of powder to the puff, then gently but firmly press and roll the powder across the forehead. Then continue:
- Down the top and sides of nose.
- Across the cheeks and toward the ear.
- Around the lips.
- Onto the chin then blended away at the jaw line.
- Finish with a very light application to the eyelids.
STEP 2: Continue pressing and rolling with the puff to cover the entire face. Repeat this process until desired coverage is achieved.
